Explanations

No Kings No Limit Hold’em Memorial Charity Tournament

  • In memory of Peter Secor, Gillian Groves, Tanya Peck-Devenport, Alan Bostick, and Art Reber
  • Standard no limit hold’em except kings are stripped from the deck (hat tip to Ken Kubey!)
  • AQJT9 is NOT a straight so the highest possible straight is a queen high straight (just because kings don’t appear in the deck doesn’t mean they don’t exist!)
  • Unlimited $60 rebuys during first hour (must be at or below starting stack)
  • All players may add-on for $60 at first break
  • All rebuy/add-on proceeds to be donated to winner’s choice(s) of the following charities, with a minimum of $250 to be donated to each of the preferred charities listed below:
    • PBS Foundation (Peter Secor’s preferred charity)
    • Team Rubicon (Tanya Peck-Devenport’s preferred charity)
    • The Bread Project (Alan Bostick’s preferred charity)
    • American Association for the Advancement of Science (Art Reber’s preferred charity)
    • Friends of Cabrillo Marine Aquarium (Gillian Groves’s preferred charity)
    • American Cancer Society
    • Dogs On Deployment
    • Habitat for Humanity
    • Midwest Center for Holocaust Education
    • World Central Kitchen
  • featuring chaos-style reshuffling (seating at each table is redrawn at first two breaks; button is awarded to player who last paid the big blind)

Triple Draw Dealer’s Choice

OE

Savage Average No Limit Hold’em with Nit Levels

  • Dynamic blinds are used instead of a tournament clock
  • Levels progress as players are eliminated to maintain an average stack of at least 50 big blinds
  • Featuring Nit Levels:
    • At the beginning of each level before the final table, the dealer will issue a Nit Card to each player. When a player wins a pot, they return the card to the dealer. Players still holding a Nit Card at the end of a level must pay an ante of 5 big blinds for the first pot of the new level.
    • At the final table, players will once again receive a Nit Card. The last player holding a Nit Card at the final table is eliminated and their chips are removed from play.
    • When this happens, the remaining level breaks will be recalculated based on the remaining number of chips in play
  • featuring chaos-style reshuffling (seating at each table is redrawn at first two breaks; button is awarded to player who last paid the big blind)

Wonky Action Razz

  • Limit mix of Wonky Donkey and Action Razz; games change by level
  • In Wonky Donkey, players receive two cards. If the majority of the flop is red, the game is hold’em. If the majority of the flop is black, players receive two more cards and the game is Omaha 8 or better.
  • featuring chaos-style reshuffling (seating at each table is redrawn at first two breaks; button is awarded to player who last paid the big blind)

Blackjack

  • this will once again be run informally and rake-free

Funbook Pot Limit Omaha

  • Players start with 10k and get 2 lammers worth 5k each
  • Each entry comes with a special coupon book – redeem ’em and weep!

Team CHORSE

TOC-Style

BARGE Annual Dinner

  • Our guest speaker at this year’s BARGE annual dinner will be Matt Savage
  • cover charge and location TBA

Crayfish Atomic Pineapple

  • In Atomic Pineapple, players receive five cards and discard one before the flop, turn, and river are dealt to end up with a two card hand.
  • In Crayfish poker, all five board cards are dealt on the flop. Instead of a turn, the dealer rolls a die and the corresponding card is taken out of play (or if a 6 is rolled all cards remain). Instead of a river, the dealer rolls another die and the corresponding card is taken out of play (or if a 6 is rolled all cards remain; if the prior roll is repeated nothing changes and the four board cards remain).
  • featuring chaos-style reshuffling (seating at each table is redrawn at first two breaks; button is awarded to player who last paid the big blind)

Reindeer Games

  • Expanded roster of cash games
  • Game selection through registration
